DNAFit Lifesciences Ltd with its registered address at DNAFit Life Sciences Ltd, TMS House, Cray Avenue, Orpington, Kent BR5 3QB (“DNAFit”) receives your genetic information and other personal information (name, date of birth, email and postal addresses) and uses this information to process and deliver your test results.
Unilever UK Limited with its registered address as Unilever House, Springfield Drive, Leatherhead, Surrey KT22 7GR (“Unilever”) receives your personal contact and payment information only (name, payment details email and postal addresses) and uses it solely for the purpose of delivering your genetic test kit.

Your test results will be sent to you by way of letter, approximately 15 business days (excludes Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays) from the date we receive your sample.
Your DNA sample will not be use d for any genetic testing besides those ordered by you. After your test has been completed and verified, your DNA sample will be stripped of all personal identifiers and will be destroyed.
Your genetic information will not be directly associated with your personal contact information, but will be stored in DNAFit’s secure database for 30 days after the date of your result letter. You can contact DNAFit during this period for more information about your result.
Under no conditions will your genetic information be released to third parties, except with your permission, unless required by law. DNAFit will retain an anonymous electronic profile of your results, strictly limited to only the key genes tested for, to allow us to offer improved service as the science develops.
We will deal with Your Personal Data in compliance with the current UK data protection legislation. DNAFit and Unilever are fully committed to compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Information about your genetic screening, or future offers, may be obtained directly from DNAFit.
DNAFit will not contact you unless additional information is deemed necessary to deliver the service described in this consent form to you.
Unilever processes your personal contact information and not your DNA sample, genetic information or results. You hereby release Unilever from all claims and liabilities arising in respect of the DNAFit test.
It is not the intention of DNAFit to provide specific medical advice but rather to provide you with information to better understand your taste preferences associated with your genotype. Specific medical advice will not be provided, and DNAFit urges you to consult your GP for answers to your personal questions.
The information supplied to you does not confirm or replace any medical diagnosis or status conferred by a health care professional. The information provided to you is not a genetic diagnosis of disease, nor does it identify an existing medical condition. Individuals with specific concerns about their health status or genetic testing should consult a doctor or a genetic counsellor.
The information provided by DNAFit is neither comprehensive nor absolute, and may not be applicable to individual circumstances should the information be subsequently deemed inaccurate or out of date by virtue of new scientific advances. Once your letter is provided to you, there will be no further information, feedback, or updates provided to you unless you contact DNAFit within the 30 day period mentioned above.
Your letter constitutes the full extent of information to be provided to you under this agreement. DNAFit and Unilever make no warranties or representations, either express or implied, that this service will meet your requirements or expectations. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained through or from the provision of these services, will itself create any warranty or representation or other obligation.
